Together, We’re Making Pet Transport Safer Worldwide
Through collaboration between pet transport professionals, veterinarians, airlines, airports, and regulatory partners, IPATA members continue to advance the safety, welfare, and professionalism of animal transportation around the globe.
For more than 45 years, the International Pet and Animal Transportation Association (IPATA) has united pet transport professionals, airlines, airports, veterinarians, government agencies, and industry partners around a shared goal: improving the safety, welfare, and professionalism of animal transportation worldwide.
As a long-standing IPATA member and Host Sponsor of the 2026 International Conference, Worldwide Animal Travel is proud to welcome our global community to Vancouver.
The annual IPATA Conference is where industry leaders come together to exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships, discuss emerging challenges, and develop solutions that improve animal welfare and transportation standards across the world.
Many of the best practices used throughout our industry today are the result of this collaboration
One example is IPATA’s Brachycephalic Certification Program (BOAS), developed in partnership with veterinarians and industry experts to improve the safe transportation of snub-nosed breeds. Through specialized training and veterinary assessment protocols, certified shippers are better equipped to evaluate fitness for travel, identify respiratory concerns, and implement enhanced safety measures for higher-risk pets.
Worldwide Animal Travel is proud to hold both IPATA Accreditation and BOAS Certification.
This certification reflects our commitment to providing the highest standards of care for breeds such as Bulldogs, Pugs, Boxers, Boston Terriers, Persian Cats, and Himalayan Cats—animals that require additional planning and expertise during air travel.
Our participation in IPATA connects us to a worldwide network of trusted professionals who share knowledge, support one another, and continually raise standards across the industry. Airlines often prefer working with experienced IPATA members because shipments are prepared professionally, documentation is accurate, and animal welfare remains the highest priority throughout every journey.
This spirit of collaboration benefits everyone involved—pet owners, veterinarians, airlines, regulatory agencies, and most importantly, the animals entrusted to our care.
Together, we are helping shape a safer future for pet transportation worldwide.
