Pet Handler - Full-Time Position (Vancouver)

Worldwide Animal Travel is a full-service pet relocation company based in Vancouver, BC, and Toronto, ON. We are here to provide pets the true VIP travel experience!

We are expanding and have a full-time opening as a Pet Handler in our Vancouver office location.

Qualifications include:

Must love working with animals
Must have valid driver’s license
Must have a clean driving abstract, with minimum 3 years driving experience in Canada
Must have a valid Canadian passport
Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
Good attitude and customer service skills
Previous animal care experience is an asset
Work well with others

This is a fast-paced environment that revolves around the safe transportation of family pets.

Successful candidates will have the following duties:

Care for pets
Collect and deliver pets to clients
Bring pets to departing airlines at Vancouver Airport
Collect pets arriving at Vancouver Airport
Work with Government organization such as the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Canada Customs
Maintain a clean facility
Work and liaise with local vet clinics

WAT van is provided for transporting animals. Wage starts at $23.00 an hour.

Export Travel Coordinator – Vancouver Airport

We’ve been providing pets with the true VIP travel experience for almost 25 years, and it shows! This is a fast-paced environment that revolves around the safety of family pets.

We are looking for several full-time Export Travel Coordinator for our Vancouver Airport office.

Reporting to our Vancouver Operations Manager, the Export Travel Coordinator will coordinate travel details and requirements with government agencies, airlines and veterinarians. This highly detailed individual will also proof and provide export health documentation to facilitate the safe travels of pets under our care.

Your responsibilities

Act as pet travel expert while maintaining professionalism and our value proposition
Maintain a positive attitude while executing tasks throughout the day
Anticipate needs by being familiar with the Customs requirements for cities and countries around the world

What you need to succeed:

If you’re still reading that means you’re excited! To set you up for success from the start, you’ll need to have a:

Min. of 2 years customer service experience (preferred)
Proven English communication skills both written and verbal
Proactive person who takes initiative
Problem-solver
Excellent computer skills
Self-motivated and work with limited supervision
Post-secondary education and/or training in customer service, communications or equivalent is an asset

Successful candidates will have the following skills:

Proven ability to work well under pressure
Superior attention to detail
Able to meet tight deadlines
Takes Initiative and is reliable
Effective interpersonal skills

Flexible and able to adapt
Works well as an active team player
Uses sound judgement and can troubleshoot issues
Extremely well organized

Salary range based on experience $25.00 to $27.00/hr

Tima (Fateme) and the team was able to help me smoothly relocate my two wonderful cats (from Vancouver  to the Philippines) within relatively short notice (1.5 months)! Even if the task had been a tricky one due to timing, Tima and her team worked relentlessly to get everything done for us, and were successful with every single goal + promise. Yes, the services may be pricey, but you most certainly get what you pay for.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wow.  Where to start.  The whole process was easy and on time.  They took our fur babies from Canada to Holland.  It was a breeze on our end, they handled everything! We got updates every step of the way.  I was a bit worried having a pug nosed dog, but didn’t need to worry at all.  They knew the flight rules regarding heat, crates, time between flights and booked everything.  Our babies had an overnight in Toronto and Frankfurt, Germany.  Stella was taken for walks and Phoebe was provided a litter box.  See below for some photos.  Stella enjoyed the experience and Phoebe, well what can I say, she is a cat and was pretty ticked.
